We heart dressing up!

The talented Ms. Beth James kindly kitted us out for the Whale Celebration, and not
not only that - offered us food and shelter on our way to Jersey's International Whale Celebration.
What a star! Stay tuned for the Women for Whales range!

Back when summer had sun...

We had our first Women for Whales stand at Brighton's Paddle Round the Pier in June, and it was HOT!  A big thank you to A1surf.com for getting us the slot and bigger thanks for situating us next to the Beasts dream team Melanie and Tony!  Beasts footwear not only offer a funky flipflop range but raise awareness AND funds for endangered animals.
The Oakley Surf Sistas prize of a Cornish surfing weekend went to the lucky Hannah Marshall who will get to enjoy a few days of surfing and pampering.  Nat managed to complete the Errant surf 5 mile pier to pier paddle and her dolphin tarot readings went down a storm!  Nori travelled over all the way from Portugal and spread the word and work of Be As One Foundation's Dolphin Freedom Centre.  Big thanks to Mikie, Kate & Big Friday, David and David for making it possible and we hope to be backagain for more sunshine next year.

Surf Sistas with Oakley run surf weekends, Surf and Yoga/Pilates retreats and surf coaching courses in Cornwall, France, Portugal, Morocco, Costa Rica and Bali.  Their trips and courses are great for surfers of all abilities from beginners through to experienced surfers.. you can find Surf Sistas on facebook and follow them on twitter.

Welcome!

HELLO! And a big warm welcome from Women for Whales!  We have created this new blog to keep you up to date and informed of any ideas, mussings, excitement and travel stories from W4W HQ.  We are currently updating our website into a very simple structure and we'll let you know when that is up and running.
This blog is the place to read about what we have been up to and we'll hopefully be joined by guest bloggers from the Women for Whales global network.
The facebook channel is for sharing info and connecting with everyone making a stand for "whale freedom".  Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us either, we would love to hear your poems, stories and ideas because it is through uniting in a positive and pro-active way that we can make changes to live in harmony on our beautiful earth and enjoy our incredible oceans.
